imogimoon.com was created by Charlotte and Kara Pierce-Saunderson in the hope that they could come up with a platform on which young people can have their voices heard and speak about things they feel passionately about. The aim of this website is to let young people of any background, culture or age have a place/platform where they feel welcomed and can read about things people like them have to say.
The name ‘imogimoon’ came from a combination of our middle names – one of Kara’s middle names is Moon and one of Charlotte’s is ‘Imogen’. We’re also a fan of the moon emoji so it’s kind of a play on words. We can’t take credit for coming up with the name, though – our dad did.
We are always welcoming new writers to join the team – you can apply to do so here. We’re looking for young people (we use the word ‘young’ loosely) who are passionate about writing and wish to share what they have to say with the rest of the world. We don’t care about what it is you want to write about; we’re just here to provide a platform for you to do so.
